Obama's Report Card

After analyzing all of President Obama's progress regarding key political issues up until this point, I have determined what grades he really deserves.

Health Care: B+
Now I do not completely agree with his health care proposal as a whole, but it is a good start to something that could really be great--definitely full of potential. Plus, I honestly think he's working hard to make sure that every one is on board and satisfied to a certain extent. He is certainly devoting most of his time to this issue as well showing that he isn't trying to pass some half-assed plan he pulled out of thin air. Cut the man some slack, trying to make the ultimate health care package for the entire nation is easier said than done.

Economy: B-
Even though we are not completely out of the hole regarding the nation's debt, Obama has enacted some great plans to help get money circulating again. I personally liked the "Back to School, No Tax Weekend" the most. He was also offering discounts on "Green Cars" as well which not only benefits the economy but the environment as well. Again, the economy may not be perfect yet but we're definitely headed upward rather than further back down in the hole. Plus it's not like Obama caused this whole down turn himself, but it is up to him to clean up "the past's" mess and even up until this point, I feel like Obama is doing alright.

War on Terror: C
I feel like Obama's not doing a great job yet he's not doing a terrible job either. I think that he's focusing so much energy on the health care proposal he's kind of forgetting about the whole war thing, at least that what it seems like all over the news. I haven't heard much regarding this subject lately so as of this moment, I believe he's pretty much "average" regarding the war on terror.

There's so much to deal with in the US right now that it is easy to neglect some issues. I feel like Obama has been doing that. Like you said, he may have been focusing too much on Health Care plan to think about the War on Terror. All of these issues are huge undertakings, but I feel like he could find a way to be on top of everything. I'm not saying everything has to be fixed in one year, but some visible improvements in each would be nice :)

That's true. After all, it's been less than a year since he was in office so I'm not really expecting him to "change the world" or anything yet. It would be better to turn the focus away from health care a little bit just because it's consuming so much time.
